These are just some of the questions customers have for us on a regular basis.
If you don’t see an answer to a question you may have about Veterans Home Repair, or the services we provide feel free to contact us at anytime during normal business hours and one of our experts will be glad to help answer any questions you might have.
Is Veterans Home Repair Insured & Licensed?
Yes, we are insured and carry the proper business licenses for operation in the state of Georgia. We take the safety of you, your home, and your property very serious. We have years of experience in the construction industry as well and know the importance of having good insurance, because sometimes accidents do happen.
Can I buy material needed for the job myself?
Yes, however we highly discourage this for a few reasons. Many times this leads to buying incorrect or even broken material that delays progress on the project. Also many times the fees that companies may charge you for delivery can cost more than letting us purchase the product and delivering it.
Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes, we do work with your insurance companies if needed. Many projects are usually not worth filling a claim and having to pay the deductible on that claim. In some cases we can actually save you money in the long run by not filling a claim.
Do you require a deposit on projects?
In some cases we do. Any project that exceeds $400 in total we do require a 50% deposit before any material is purchased and before the start of the project. Any project that exceeds $1,500 in total we require 63% deposit before starting.
If a permit is needed how does that work?
If a permit is needed for your home repair project you are responsible for obtaining that from your local city or county licensing office. If permits are required and you op-out of obtaining one then we are not able to offer any warranty or guarantee on the project requiring a permit.
Can you help electrical and plumbing problems?
We can help with smaller issues such as electrical switch and socket replacements, replacing lights and fixtures, ceiling fans, faucets, toilets, and under-sink drains. We do have our preferred and trusted contractors for more major electrical and plumbing projects that can help you with any issues you might have.
Do you have a portfolio or references of work Veterans Home Repair has done?
Yes, we can provide you with reviews, references and project before and after photos. We try to ask all of our customers to leave feedback on the projects we have completed for them.
I have a really small project. Do you do Small projects?
Yes, we do small projects, however due to overhead, fuel and mileage we do have a minimum project charge of $400. Our average projects range between $400-$2,500 depending on the scope of work being performed.
